Choosing the Right Perfume
Taking the motto "You can't be beautiful without smelling beautiful" as our starting point, it's clear that choosing the right perfume is vitally important. Many people use perfumes that are not at all suitable for them.
Your perfume can turn heads, so choosing the right one is almost an art form.
So, how should we choose?
- First, avoid shopping for perfume very early in the morning or late at night. Sleep deprivation and fatigue affect how your receptors work. The ideal time to shop for perfume is in the afternoon.
- After trying one or two scents, take a break. Spread out your selections over a longer period of time. Scent neurons adapt faster than any other type of neuron in the body. After a while, you may start to confuse all the scents. Also, it should be noted that the true scent of a perfume is detected 30 minutes after application.
- Every factor matters when choosing a fragrance, including your skin tone, the climate, your hormones, your clothing style, your age, and your diet. For instance, people who sweat more carry the scent differently. People with oily skin carry the scent longer.
- When choosing a perfume, never wear any other perfume. When testing a perfume, spray it on your arm, away from your wrist.
- Finally, apply perfume to your pulse points for the best results.
- To choose the right scent, first learn about the different scent families.
Oriental: Heavy, sensual, and mysterious. Its base notes are vanilla, cinnamon, caramel, and amber. It is often used with spicy aromas. It is more popular in the winter
Floral: The largest fragrance family. The most commonly used flowers are magnolia, lily, rose, orchid, and jasmine. These scents are light, fresh, and airy. They are elegant and sophisticated. They are ideal for spring and summer.
Fruit: These scents are light and not very long-lasting. They contain notes such as lemon, apple, citrus, and bergamot. They add a romantic touch. They are often preferred in the spring and summer.
Chypre: These scents contain intense ingredients. They are very long-lasting. Their base notes are patchouli, musk, and moss. They are often used in combination with floral and fruity scents.
Choosing a perfume according to your lifestyle:
- If you love classic clothing and frequently wear high heels, choose scents containing oriental, spicy, and sandalwood notes.
- If you prefer sportswear and flats, opt for fresh, light scents. Opt for scents containing ocean breezes, musk, and amber.
- If you enjoy going out at night, use an intense scent, as scent perception weakens in the late hours of the day. Chypre and oriental scents are most suitable for you.
Choose perfume based on your personality.
- I'm a dreamer and I love romance. Fruit.
- I'm modest and don't like to draw attention to myself. Flower:
- I'm always bold and love to captivate. Oriental, vanilla, caramel
No matter what fragrance you choose, opt for eau de toilette in the morning and eau de parfum at night. This way, when you enter crowded places early in the morning, you won't bother people who are still waking up with your scent. At night, your scent will be more noticeable because the sense of smell weakens.
To prevent possible skin stains, spray your perfume on your clothes from a distance of 15 cm rather than on your skin in sunny weather.
Perfumes with unknown ingredients may damage your skin. Remember that having healthy skin is more important than smelling good.
